My "cup" uh... "tub" runneth over........
Well, sometimes plans just don't pan out the way that you wished for...I spent the weekend pondering over a tub faucet that decided the washer was "spent" on Friday night. What had been a small leak turned into "niagra falls" I guess flowing streams of hot water does not constitute a weekend emergency. So, by Saturday night ( after having the bathroom door shut all day), I tied about 12 pieces of yarn around the neck of the spout.....and low and behold quiet. At least quiet enough that I did not have to sleep on the couch.

Upcycled items...............post 3
I have to admit, that when I saw this chair, I thought that the cranberry color would look really great with my couch.....wrong. After living with my $12.00 find, I realized that it looked like something from the set of "Gunsmoke".
So, with a $3.00 investment in some Tea Leaf Green fabric, that I really fell in love with.....
I revamped the old chair and now it suits me just fine.
Although, I may still need to paint it an off-white at sometime.

Upcycled items........post 2
I get tired of the perpetual bottle of "dish washing liquid" that sits out on my counter every single day. Yes, I could put it away under the cupboard (more than once a day actually), but I like having it on hand..........
Enter, the thrifted syrup dispenser...I love this little glass container. You know where I'm going with this don't you?
Yep....A new life. Dish washing liquid dispenser. It has worked out really well for me. I pull the lever back, dispense what I need, and when the lever closes, no mess.

Happy New Year.........
Menu
Ham Steaks
(so that I will "root forward" and not "scratch back",
like I would if I ate Chicken today. Again, from grandmother).
Black Eyed Peas

Tunip Greens

Biscuits with lots of butter
(they always sound good).

In love............

I fell in "love", did I say in love? I was gifted a small "lot" of Alfred Mainzers post cards. Most of his work was created in the late 40's and early 50's. I can't get over these sweet little postcards. Printed in Belgium on linen ( I have a special place in my heart for anything printed on linen paper). The more you look at them, the more you discover.
